Both Windows 10 version 21H2 and Windows 11 are projected to visit live in the approaching months, but however, the latter would only be available for certain eligible computers.
In other words, while Windows 10 version 21H2 is going to be readily available for just about everyone already running Windows 10, Windows 11 are only offered to certain hardware configurations, including PCs with eighth-gen processors and newer.
According to a report from WL, Microsoft will use Windows 10 version 21H2 to promote Windows 11, and machines entitled to the new operating-system would see a special message in Windows Update to let them know they are able to perform the upgrade.
"This PC can run Windows 11," the content displayed in Windows 11 reads.
"Great news - your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. Specific timing when ever it will likely be offered can differ as we have it ready for you. Some Windows 10 features aren't available in Windows 11. Certain apps and features might have additional requirements."
Windows 11 coming in October
Microsoft has already confirmed Windows 11 is originating later this year, and it's believed the OS could be signed off when the the following month, while the public rollout would begin in October.
"Windows 11 is going to be available via a free upgrade for eligible Windows 10 PCs and on new PCs beginning this holiday," Microsoft originally announced. "We're also working with our retail partners to ensure Windows 10 PCs you purchase today are prepared for that upgrade to Windows 11. The disposable upgrade will start to roll out to eligible Windows 10 PCs this holiday and continuing into 2022."
Windows 11 has already been readily available for testing as part of the Dev and Beta channels within the Windows Insider program.
